A school has banned teachers from using red pen.
The Mounts Bay Academy in Cornwall, south-west England, has told teachers that they're no longer allowed to mark their students homework in red because it is a "negative colour" and have instead instructed them to use green ink and urged students to reply in purple.
Headteacher Sara Davey told the Western Morning News: "Students make more progress if it is a dialogue and the new system is designed to help that.
"A lot of primary schools are already using a similar system amazingly well and I think it was felt that red ink was a very negative colour."
