Brief description:
Through the continuing generous support of the Lalji family and the Programme for African Leadership (PfAL) Foundation, LSE is delighted to announce that it is making available a significant scholarship fund for bright African students applying to the eligible Masters programmes for the 2015/16 academic year.

*The eligibility of these additional programmes for PfAL funding will be confirmed by end of February 2015 and will in part depend on demand. Successful Phase 1 applicants will be advised of the final eligible set of programmes before they submit their Phase 2 applications.

Not specified.   A minimum of 15 places will be reserved for applicants from Kenya, South Sudan and Uganda.
Target group:
Students from across the whole of sub-Saharan Africa.
Scholarship value/inclusions:
A full scholarship will cover fees and living costs, but the value for each student will be assessed according to financial need.  All Lalji PfAL Scholarship recipients will benefit from an additional study seminar series plus automatic enrolment into the PfAL@LSE leadership programme which takes place throughout the year.
Eligibility:
In order to be considered for one of these awards, you must have a bachelor’s degree and meet the minimum entry requirements for LSE’s graduate programmes.  You can find details specific to your country/region here. Application instructions:
If you meet the entry requirements, please complete a PfAL Phase 1 application form.  If your initial application is approved then you are eligible to apply for one of the selected MSc programmes (Phase 2) and complete a financial assessment form (Phase 3). The pre-application phase will remain open until 1 March 2015 initially.  Once the 1st March deadline has passed, any subsequent applications will be considered on a rolling basis only up until a pre-determined quota is reached.
